Among the many outstanding features of the island of Lanzarote are the mind-spinning architectural creations of Caesar Manrique.
One of these is Mirador del Rio, built on a 400-metre clifftop with a stunning view out across the neighbouring island of La Graciosa.
And as we all know, spectacular settings involving sunshine and beautiful vistas frequently induce overwhelming feelings of romance.
A classic example of this phenomenon can be seen in this rather pleasing image.
Did they give this magnificent scenery their full and undivided attention? It would appear not. Was this image posed? To which I can truthfully answer no.
