The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is one of those buildings so dramatic, so distinctive, that it entirely overshadows the often wonderful works of art displayed within.
Stepping inside to view the exhibits feels a little anticlimactic. The building itself stands as one of the prime examples of great modern architecture of the late 20th century.
The dazzling complexities of the exterior, combined with the ever changing light, create endlessly new shapes and perspectives.
Mr Frank Gehry, we thank you!
