Dunes & Sky, Mornington

The estuary of the River Boyne is an officially designated environmental special protection area. This takes in the substantial expanse of dunes with their numerous criss-crossing pathways that stretch from Mornington to the neighbouring village of Bettystown.

Here a bright January afternoon sun enhances the detail in the marram grass which, in turn, is nicely balanced by a lively little cloud tootling past in the background.

And why choose monochrome? Well it was a monochrome kind of day. Some days are like that.
